Dear Listers,

I am trying to locate information on a Diedrick Dekker who immigrated to the
United States from the Netherlands about 1881.

The limited information that we have available on the Dekker family
indicates that it is possible that they where in the vicinity of Jasper
County Indiana from the time of their arrival in the United States until
their moving to LaMoure County North Dakota sometime in the 1890's.

The 1900 North Dakota census indicates that a daughter Ida was born in
Indiana sometime in January 1885. Also, by 1900 census the mother was no
longer with the family.

During their possible stay in Jasper County the family would have consisted
of the following known individuals:

Diedrick Dekker father born 1837 Netherlands
John Dekker Son born 1872 Netherlands
Martin Dekker Son born 1876 Netherlands
Benjamin Dekker Son born 1879 Netherlands

The 1900 census indicates that all the above were naturalized citizens. It
is possible that they were naturalized in Indiana prior to their departure
for North Dakota.

Any help with this search for information would be greatly appreciated.
