"I take my pen in hand to inform you that we are all well and hope these
few lines will find you enjoying the same Great Blessing. I can let you
know that I landed safely at home the next morning after I left your
house. I stayed all night 4 miles from home. But I got home
before breakfast and me and Daniel went to Jacob Garber's sale that same
day.
"I can let you know that Samuel Firestone was very sick and they did not
expect him to live but he is on the mending way now. Write as soon as
you receive this letter. Jacob Fashbaugh

This trip represents the first that Jacob has seen Lovina and Frederick
Hartline since Lovina and Frederick's wedding 7 years ago on 11 Feb
1849.
On CD ROM, Triple-A "Map-N-Go" , it says the distance between Strasburg,
Ohio and Cromwell, Indiana is 291.2 miles by Preferred Route and travel
time is shown as 5 hours 9 minutes.
