"I now take the opportunity to inform you that we are All well and so
sincerely hope that this may find you in rhe same enjoyment. I will now
inform you about the land as I understnd by your letter that you have
not got any more that I wrote.

"I did not know if you would give more than $800 or not. I bought the
land for myself. I did not go to Ohio as soon as I expected. I came
very near to not getting the land at all. It cost me $1,030.
I have not got a deed for it yet. The man has brought it out and I
shall get it this week. I get 1 year from next January to make the Last
payment.

"If you do come out I think you can lay your money to good advantage
here. It is 200 acres to be divided in court that beongs to heirs.
It is good land and well timbered as any land in this County and in a
convenient place 1 1/2 miles from Pierceton. As regards to selling your
horses I think you could sell them at Goshen tolerable well. The best
time for selling horses is over. You may meet with a good chance here
to dispose of them if you bring them out. I don't know how horses rates
with you. A good horse here will fetch from $100 to $150 as their
qualities will appear. That is the way they are rated here.

"I will tell you that our Father-in-law Fashbaugh has Commenced building
a barn. Do not Forget to Write. Samuel Firestone
