ANNE LAURIE SMITH has compiled a SECOND volume of ASHLEY FUNERAL
HOME RECORDS. Ashley Funeral home was in Washington Township, TO
WN of Pierceton, Kosciusko County. These records are from
1925-1954. The book is 137 pages + 9 unpaged. Each listing
gives deceased name, date of death, sex, birth date and place if
given, occupation, Father and Mother's names if given and funeral
ordering person's name. It is fully indexed and has 9 pages of
copies of sample documents, so that you can see what the original
records looked like. PRICE is $15.00 (Postage of $3.20 USPS
Priority. and sales tax if applicable)
The FIRST volume Ashley Funeral Home Records includes the years
from May 1890 to 1924, and sells for $14.00 plus sales tax plus
postage.
And, MARTHA SCANTLEN has finished the indexing of the KOSCIUSKO
COUNTY HEALTH OFFICERS MARRIAGE RECORDS. Her new book Index of
Marriage Applications Kept by County Health Officer Kosciusko
County Indiana 1943-1948 by Martha Scantlen 1998. Represents the
final index in this series of records. The alphabetic index gives
information for both the brides and grooms who applied for
marriage during those years, and includes parents' names where
given. This completes the series that Marjorie Nye started many
years ago; being a multi-volume listing of marriages found in the
Health Officers records. Softbound 90 pages, selling for $10.00.
