LaGrange, Ind. - Sondra E. HETCHLER, 59, 502 E. Spring St., LaGrange, died July 16, 1998 at Vencor Hospital, LaGrange. She was born April 15, 1939 in LaGrange, Ind., a daughter of James E. SCHERMERHORN and Ruth E. (HAMILTON) BROWN. On Nov. 24, 1961 she married Douglas E. HETCHLER in LaGrange. A life-long resident of LaGrange, she was a registered nurse and homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and the Ruth Circle of the church. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Virginia L. THOMPSON, of LaGrange; one son, James D. HETCHLER, of LaGrange, four grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. James (Nancy) MELLINGER of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Kenneth BROWN. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange, where services are at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Stephen Flynn, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange. Memorials may be directed to !
