Hi All

Hope everyone is having a great summer. It has been very hot and stormy here in Central New York State. July was the wettest on record from all the thunderstorms.

I have just added a page to the LaGrange INGenWeb website- Henry Secrist Letters- 1854 and 1855. Henry of unknown age was writing to, Frederick Hartline, age 25, Franklin Twp, Tuscarawas, Ohio. Frederick is the great grandfather of James Hartline, who was kind enough to share these letters with us! Thanks James! Henry was attending the Ontario Collegiate Institute when the letters were written. You can find more info on the school here-

If you haven't visited the site in a while, in June I started adding the first installment of the WPA Index of Death records. These were contributed by Charlotte Edsall- thanks Charlotte! As I continued typing these up and looking ahead at the records, I realized that many were difficult to make out. Rather than adding transcripion errors to make research more difficult, I stopped transcribing and posted the whole index in PDF format. That way researchers can look at tho Index directly rather than anothers interpretation of what it says. The entire index was posted in July.The down side of this is that the website search won't pick up the names in this index, it must be checked separately.

Anyone have any brick wall break throughs to share, family reunions or new family lines to research? This list has been very quiet of late. It would be great to know there are people out there- smile.
