I am searching for info on my mother's aunt. Her name was Emma Bone. She
was b in Szaymarsceke, Hungary and came to the Hammond (Griffith) areas
because there were a lot of Hungarian family and friends in that area.
She married a man from this area and had 3 children. We do not know what
his name was, but they had 2 daug, Emma and Irene and one son. We think
his name may have been Andrew. Emma the daug. married and moved to PA.
In the 60's, she developed cancer, so we assume she died. The mother
Emma deserted her family and they didn't have much to do with her. Later
in life, she married the widower of one of her relatives. His
Americanized name was Jose Valentine. We think in Hungarian it was
BALENT or BALINT Jose. His wife was Leona. We believe that Emma, Jose
and Leona are all buried at the Oak Hill Cemetary. We think that Emma
died in the mid to late 60's. Jose died before Emma, but it was after
1962. Emma would have married her first husband somewhere between 1906
and 1912, so the children could have been born anywhere between 1907 and
1920.
If anyone has any info on these people or if anyone might be willing to
do any lookups, I would be very grateful for the help. My Hungarian
relatives seem to be my greatest challenge.
Bonnie
