Hello,

I've just subscribed to the list and hope this isn't too far off topic. I
live in Wisconsin and am driving my mother and her sister to visit their old
"stomping grounds" in the East Chicago area tomorrow - Monday morning.

They grew up in the 20's and 30's in an area called Sunnyside. I believe
these were homes built by Inland Steel for some of their workers during that
time. They lived on Catalpa Street.

Can anyone tell me if that area still exists. I know their high school -
Washington, I believe - is gone. Are there any other schools, libraries,
parks, buildings still in existance from that time.
