About a year ago I sent a letter with a request to Oleska-Pastrick
Funeral Home in East Chicago. My mother's guardians (an aunt & uncle)
were buried by them according to obits that I have. I enclosed a check
and requested any information that they had. I had the exact dates of
death (1940's), so it would not have been hard to find the records.
They did not answer my letter (nor did they cash the check). What I am
wondering is this...does anyone know if their old records are available
somewhere? I was hoping that maybe they had donated the records to a
genealogical society or something and that is why they did not answer.
If anyone has any information or ideas I would really appreciate the
help. Thank you.
