Wm. C. ROSE loses mother
Mrs. Elizabeth ROSE, 77, of 4607 Towle Avenue, died today at her home following an illness of
several weeks. Mrs. ROSE resided 53 years in the Calumet Region, 33 of which were spent in
Hammond and 20 in Hegewisch.
Survivors:
Son: William C. of Cedar Lake
Son: Walter of S. Chicago
Sons: Roy and Ernest of Hammond
Daughter: Mrs. Eva HANSEN of Hammond
Daughter: Mrs. Margaret SCHREIBER of Indiana Harbor
Brother: William SIPPLE of Knox
Sister: Mrs. Anna ULRICH of Hammond
Services from the residence to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church
on the north side with the Rev. William Brauer officiating.
Internment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. ROSE was preceded in death by her husband Paul, who died 18 years ago.
For 17 years he operated a general merchandise store on North Hohman Avenue.
She was a charter member of the Ladies Aid of the church from which she will
be buried.
