Mrs. MROZ 68 year area resident dies

Mrs. Rose MROZ, 86, of 4327 Johnson Avenue, Hammond, mother of Hammond Superior Court Bailiff
Al C. MROZ, Hammond Fireman Louis MROZ, and retired Hammond Police Capt. Walter MROZ, died
early today at her home after an illness.

Mrs. MROZ had been a resident of the Calumet Region for 68 years - 46 years in Hammond and 22
years in East Chicago.

With her late husband Albert MROZ, who died in 1926, she was one of the organizers of St. Mary's
Catholic Church on the east side of Hammond. The couple also participated in the organizing of
St. Stanislaus Church in East Chicago.

Services will be held in the Mysliwy Funeral Home and at the St. Casimir Church with Msgr. John
Biernacki singing the requim high mass. Burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City .

Other than those listed above:

Sons: Joseph of Michigan City and Anton of Calumet City, where he is a past grand knight
of Columbus. Walter now resides in Mesa, Arizona.

Daughter: Mrs. Frank (Helen) KURCZYNSKI of Hammond

Daughter: Mrs. Martin (Martha) DZIEZAK of Hammond

Daughter: Mrs. Anthony (Sophie) NOWAK of Calumet City

Daughter: Mrs. Phil ( Catherine) DOMBROWSKI of Calumet City

Daughter: Mrs. Leo (Bertha) OSTROWSKI of East Chicago, In.

Daughter: Mrs. Vince (Marie) GRONEK of Chicago

Daughter: Sister M. NAZARIA of St. Francis Konegunda Order stationed in St.
Hedwig School, Gary

Brother: Simon LODZINSKI lives in Europe

Other survivors include 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Among the grandchildren
is Joseph NOWAK Calumet City Police Magistrate.
