REINHART KROLL IS DEAD AT 84
Reinhart KROLL, 84, widely known throughout the Calumet region as a prominent musician, died early yesterday at his home,
5210 Howard Avenue, Hammond , following an illness of one and a half years.
KROLL, who came to Hammond 76 years ago, was one of the first musicians in Hammond to play with Barney YOUNG'S
and GINDLS bands, being in numerous performances at the old Towle Opera House. He was employed at the United
Chemical and Organic Products Co. plant in Calumet City for 35 years and operated a butcher shop between Logan and
Indiana streets for 15 years.
Married 61 years ago he and his wife Louise celebrated their golden anniversary 11 years ago.
In addition to the widow, survivors include:
Daughter: Mrs. Lillian McDOWELL
Sons: Ernest, Edward, Walter and Emil.
Sisters: Mrs. Emma BECKMAN
Mrs. Ida HASS
Services at the Neidow Chapel with internment in the Elmwood cemetery.
