Hope, have you checked out the LaPorte County website? It has the entire
1850 LaPorte County Indiana census online. It has a Samuel Harmison and
family listed as living in Pleasant Township. This website also has a
database with the 1920s, 1940s and many recent obits from the LaPorte
newspapers indexed and I found 2 Harmison's listed there.

The cemetery listing are not online but most of the cemeteries in the county
have been indexed and the LaPorte County Library has copies.
