names confirmed by the probate record of Sarah (Charles) Dougherty who died
April 10, 1868 in Kansas:

in 1832
3. Joel Charles Dougherty (b. 1812) mar. Margaret Dunbar in Orange Co., IN
in 1836
4. Elizabeth Dougherty (b. 1814) mar. John Gabbert in Lawrence Co., IN in
1834
5. Isabelle Dougherty (b. 1817) mar. Eli Smith in Daviess Co., IN in 1841
6. John Dougherty (b. 1819) mar. Elizabeth Smith (1841) and Nancy Ann
Bennington Fidler (1851), both in Daviess Co., IN
7. Jemima Dougherty (b. 1820) mar. Charles Groves in Daviess Co., IN in
1839
8. Robert W. Dougherty (b.1829) mar. Elizabeth Hoover in Sangamon Co., IL
in 1854
The only Smith listed as an heir was her daughter Isabelle who married Eli
Smith.
