I recently returned from an obit search in Marion Co. I can add that the
Central Public Library has first class facilities; I was able to locate a
number of obits I was searching for. Copying requires purchase of a
"convenience card" for a dollar and then copies are 15 cents each.
When I visited Crown Hill, personnel were most helpful to me in finding
gravesites at no charge, provided that I knew the name to search for. For a
fee, they will search and retrieve any information recorded in their files
at the time of burial.
