Thanks Maggie for your reply in regard to the 1855 census for Indianapolis,
Indiana. I will look forward to your reply to confirm that there was truly a
census taken in that year.

Are there phone directories for Indianapolis in the 1851-1856 timeframe?
Does anyone know?
