Pat,
I totally understand, but I don't think its Ancestry's fault. For
some reason, some of the census indexes refer to the actual printed page
number and other's refer to the number handwritten on them. Also, some are
two pages long, for example, if you are looking for pg 5, there may 2 pages
which comprise #5. Therefore, you have to multiply x 2 if you are going to
go from say pg 100 to 200 = +200, not +100 pages. Get's very confusing till
you get used to it. I just guess where the number might be, see if goes 1 pg
# at a time or 2, then go from there. Also, you have to figure out which #
they are using, the handwritten or the printed!
