Thank you Kimberly for two very useful URL's. Found two very useful names
as soon as I did just one quick search.

And yes, indeed, that list of people they so euphemistically term "The
Unfortunates" in the URL for admissions to an institute for the insane was
very interesting. I was especially fascinated by the listing for the woman
whose last name was COLE -- who was brought to the hospital on Christmas day
in 1857and the hospital refused to take her. Wonder why -- were they sorry
for her or maybe had no space? Her last name was COLE. Was she homeless
and on the street in the cold Indiana winter or just making a fuss about
something and became an inconvenience to someone? Was she really mentally
ill? Poor woman. And how much have times really changed?
