Mark,

I wrote the Marion County Archives requesting divorce records and they wrote back saying they needed more information. I only had the names and the date of the divorce. I then called them at the phone # listed below and spoke with Syleste. Anyone who worked there could assist you. (I had to call her a second time so she could look the records.) She told me that the records that I wanted were found and would be $1. No personal id needed and a personal check would be okay. I would recommend calling them first with your information. I haven't received the info yet. If they need more info, money order or id, I will let you know.

Does anyone know how to obtain divorce records in Indianapolis from the early
1930's? I don't know an exact date, but it was around 1931.
