I found the following in the 1880 Census:

1880 Census, Indiana, Lawrence County, Marion Township, June 25, 1880

Sears, George W. W M 26 Farmer BP: Arkansas FA: Tennessee MO:
Indiana
Alice W F 18 Indiana Illinois New York
William W M 1 Ind Ark Ind
Washington W M 6 mo born in January Ind Ark Ind

There wasn't any Frank or Francis in the 1880 Indiana census so he could
have been born in the latter part of the year.

Hello,

I am new to this list, and I am researching my husband's side of the family
in Marion Co. IN.

I recently received the Old Age Application from SS. of his grandfather
Frank Sears. His full name was Francis (Frank) Marion Sears, it shows that
he was born in Indianapolis c. 1880, and his parents were George Sears and
Alice McPherson. Some info taht I have has Frank born in 1879.
Does anyone have any information on George or Alice? I do not know when
they were born or married. Frank moved to McCurtain Co., OK. in or about
1910. In the 1930 census states the his father was born in TN. and mother
IN. as well as Frank.

In 1913 he was married to a Nora Cravens Durant and he applied for
guardianship to her son from her marriage to Durant. Frank and Nora had a
son Cecil and after Nora's death in late 1918 early 1919 he remarried in
1920 to a Lillian Young Guest and they had several more children. I have
been searching for 10 years and just aquired the information as to the town
where he was born and his parents names.

Hope someone can help me add to this information.
