Rotary Club



The new officers of the Bloomington Rotary were ushered into their positions at the regular noon meeting of the organization at the Graham hotelRetiring president Wood Wiles presided at the beginning of the meeting and introduced the new president, John W. Cravens, who took the chair.



Dr. J.E.P. Holland, first president of the organizationsecond president Dr. A.M. Snyder Rotarian William Burrows followed Dr. SnyderHarry Johnson, fourth president of the local organization On motion of R.G. Miller, members of the organization gave a vote of thanks to Frank R. Elliott and James Havens, retiring Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.



The new officers of Rotary in addition to President Craves are: First vice-president, G.F. Holland; 2nd vice-president, Roy O. Pike; secretary, C.W. Murphy; treasurer, James Havens; sergeant at arms, John Sutphin. Mr. Cravens praised the work of the program committee, consisting of W.A. Alexander, Chas. G. Shaw, and William Burrows, and re-appointed themRalph Tirey was named a new member of this committee. Mr. Cravens also appointed a Ladies Night Committeeconsisting of Roy Pike, Chas. Small, Homer Woolery, Carl Breeden, and James Blair.



Guests today included Mrs. W.D. Long, Mrs. J.D. Moschelle, Mrs. Henry J. McCoy, and Miss Hulda Fritzberg, all of Indianapolis; and Professor E.G. Frazier and J.C. Anderssohn(sic), of the University. Mrs. Long entertained the club with two readings from the Negro folk lore of the Old South.
