I have an index and it doesn't have enumeration dates but it was probably
July or August. If she is NOT in the 1850 Mortality Schedule (found on the
INMontgomery page) which covers June 1849 - June 1850 then it would be after
that but since she is not in the 1850 census, it stands to reason it would
be before even June 1849. Sure she didn't die in childbirth? You might
e-mail the Crawfordsville Library -- link on the Montgomery page -- they
MIGHT check for the enumeration date on the census film but not sure they'd
do that. You could probably order via interlibrary loan and look yourself.
Might be a good idea to find people around them, too -- may be relations or
in same church, etc. I don't know if the Darlington IOOF actually has
cemetery records. You could call the Darlington library, I guess. THey may
know. Might want to hire Kim Hancock (she's on the Montgomery list) to do
some research for you. She might find an obit for Alex. Kim might also
find a marriage application or affidavit which often gleans some great
surprises and answers. HOPE THIS HELPS -- thanks for the compliment. My,
how I miss working on the Web page but HAVE to get that book totally
completed -- on the deadline time, NOW! GOOD LUCK
Karen
