I am looking for knowledge of Grace CAVANAUGH, my maternal grandmother, who lived in Martinsville, Morgan County, before her marriage 18 December 1901 to Sherman Beecher Jefry.

Grace Cavanaugh was the daughter of a William CAVANAUGH and Ella ROBB, whose children were born in the Evansville area (Vanderburgh County, Pigeon Township). The family appears on the 1880 Federal Census with Grace (listed as Gracy) being 10 years of age.

Ella moved to Indianapolis sometime around 1898 and is in the Indpls. City Directory as a widow of William.

I can find no records documenting that GRACE CAVANAUGH did live in Martinsville, but she told me she did, and her daughter thought she was born in Martinsville (and it is so listed on daughter's marriage application in Marion County, IN, albeit erroneously).

Any help is appreciated.
