I have a grandfather of Morgan County , IN. I hope that they link together somewhere. He is from the generation. His name is John William(Will)Pearcy and he married Nancy Jane Wade. John was born on January 15, 1838 in Morgan County, IN. Nancy was born in 1843 and died in 1937. John died in 1926. He was married once before to a Margaret Comer. He and Margaret had 3 children. John Douglas Pearcy who was born on August 7, 1860 and died December 29, 1947. William Henry Pearcy who was born August 7, 1860 and died August 7, 1860. Then there is Rae Pearcy born in 1862 and died July 15, 1864. It is said that Margaret went insane and killed her child, William Henry and possibly Rae as well. It is said that her husband John Will walking in on her and found her holding a pillow over William Henry's face while he was crying in his bed. Margaret could not stand it crying. The family came in on her, but was unable to save the baby's life. They say that Margaret's tombstone is almost unre!
adable so they say the date could be wrong. They say the the tombstone looked like it said that she died on July 15, 1863. If that is so then it could mean that she didn't kill her daughter Rae. She did kill the twin son though.
