Dick,
You didn't mention Morgan County in your message. Do your CARTERs have a
Morgan County connection? If so, how & who? Perhaps I can do some legwork
for you.

I have had many experiences, much like yours. Try to overlook those who do
not know how to keep a promise. You will, eventually, run into many who
give you much more than you ask for. The genealogy-researchers-world is
full of wonderful people.
