I am looking for any info about the following people who lived in & around Martinsville & the Paragon area:
Inola Woods B 1873 D 1949 married to Edward Rutan. Inola's parents are:
Andrew J. Woods B Abt 1837 in IL (parents B in IN)
married to Elizabeth Clark B Abt 1840 in IN(Dad B in KY mom B in IN). Andrew & Elizabeth might have married in Owen County. I have located them in the 1880 Census in Salt Creek Twp,Jackson,IN.
I believe Andrew might have been eligible for a soldier's pension as there is one in Morgan Co. on the 1890 rolls.
Andrew & Elizabeth had the following children:
William E. "Bill", John C.,Rebecca J.,Mary F.,Henrietta,James J. & Nancy Ann.
Inola had told my grandmother that she had had 2 older sisters get married & move to Kansas in covered wagons.
There is also a family story about an Indian in the Woods family. Hope someone has some info!
