I only found two listed in US with that spelling. One in Knox co. Ind. A John Goldenshoe age 19 and a Mary Goldenshoe age 16 living in PA. Then in 1910 one George age 15 living in NY. So I am thinking that the name might have changed.
I Did try to find Frederick and Magdelena without using the last name in 1900 but couldn't find anyone who matched the name with spelling off. Not even any of the children were using the name Goldenshoe after 1900. Thanks Sue
