I don't know how I am related to Henry Beckenbaugh without finding his ancestry. Many Beckenbaughs (myself included) are related to immigrants from Eiterbach, Germany, who arrived in 1751. There is another batch, mostly in PA, whose ancestor arrived in the 1830s. There may be more, as a female Beckenbaugh supposedly was married in (what is now) the US before 1751.
There is a MyFamily.com web site for Beckenbaugh family members. Is your friend a participant? (Requires invitation with user name and password to be a participant.)
I assume that Mary Elizabeth Smith was first married to Unknown Thacker and later married Winfield Beckenbaugh. If not correct, please advise.
