This is an answer to a query dated Aug. 10.

I show her also called Polly and her death as November 25, 1885, in Marshall
Co, IA. Several of their children ended up in Iowa also, possibly as part of
the migration of some of the FISCUS, HILSABECK, and other families who
supposedly left Owen for religious reasons. I have read that there were
disagreements in their Owen church about certain practices, such as night
communion and foot washing.

Anna Magdalena FISCUS' brother, Jacob FISCUS, married Jane BOWEN in Owen in
1832. They are my husband's 2nd great-grandparents through their son, Aaron
FISCUS, who married Mary Susanna DYAR in Owen in 1867. Aaron and Mary
Susanna's daughter, Martha Ellen FISCUS, married (1) Dr. John W. MAHORNEY,
and (2) Joseph Newton GREENWOOD.
