Henry and Jane (BUCHANAN) WOLFE, moved to IN from PA and lived near Portland
Mills, Armiesburg and Waveland communities in the mid 1800's. We have no
other information on them. Milton Kennedy Wolfe b. Aug 21, 1846 Portland
Mills moved to Minn. 1867 settling in an area known as Cook's Valley in
Wabasha Co. He returned to IN to be marr. in 1868 to Eliz. BARCLAY and
then returned to Wabasha where he lived until 1922. Apparently, his sister,
Melissa L. Wolfe (b. Jan 3, 1849) accompanied MK to Minnesota and lived
with them on the family farm in Mn dying there 1885 age 36. MK and his
wife raised 10 children, including my wife's grandfather. We are seeking
info. about MK's brother and other relatives. Two brother, Robert and Aaron
are known to have stayed in the area. We have found limited on-line info.
on them recently. No info. is available about the other 3 children of Henry
and Jane. Robert Allen Wolfe (circa 1853 to 1923) lived in the Brazil area.
The Wabash Valley obit. lists indicate he d. 1923. Aaron Johnson Wolfe
(Nov 4, 1854-Oct 6, 1914) whose obit. is included in the on-line Waveland
obituaries. Aaron and his wife, Martha had 3 daughters (birth date unknown
but believed circa 1870-80) Pauline D. Wolfe m. G. Lee CHRIST. Pauline
is known to have attended MK Wolfe's funeral in MN in 1922. Bessie C. Wolfe.
Myrtle Blanche Wolfe m. Albertus UPTON Mont. Co. Any further information
