I am seeking information on my ancestor Richard Lewis. I just found him in the 1870 C for Parke Cty, in Adams Twp, Rockville. Here is the information I have. I'd like any information that might help me discern who his father was:

Lewis, Richard 33 MW Farmer 300 Virgina
Dorothy 26 FW 26 Indiana
Mary 11 Illinois
John 7 Indiana
Jane 5 Indiana
Julia 3 Indiana
Monroe? Indiana

I've also found this family in Illinois in 1860 in Gallatin Cty. Richard was married to a Martha at that time and they had two children the Mary (1 year old) above and a Charles 5 years old (I think-it's hard to read).

My information has it that Dorothy's name is Dorothy Burford Harris.
