Marshall- Effie Truman Deener, 100, of Marshall, died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday in Parke County Nursing Home at Rockville.
She was a 52- year member of the Marshall Baptist Church.
She was born March 12, 1889, at Lebanon, KY,. to Wallace Edward and Rebecca Graham hunt. She was married to Charles Edward Deener on Jan 31, 1906, at Lebanon, KY. He died in July 1967.
Surviving are three sons, William and Harold of Marshall and Charles Junior of Indianapolis; five daughters, Bernice Logston of Chicago, Pauline Lewis of Marshall, Rebecca Doolin of Ashtabula, Ohio, Dollie Earl of Rockville and Barbara Rusk of Danville, Ill.; 41 grandchildren ; 87 great grandchildren; and 16 great-great- grandchildren.
A son, Wallace "Jack," is deceased.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Marshall Baptist Church with the Revs. Arthur Bowser and James Flater Officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at Rice Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Friday.
