I am terrible about replying to people. Sorry!!!!!!
Isaac Hamilton Overpeck married Mary Elizabeth Goad (born 19 March 1857 in Tenn). I have no specifics about where they married, but I suspect it was in Tennessee. There were actually six children: 1) Fred, b. 25 June 1883, d 12 Jan 1969 in Brazil, IN; 2) Celia Jane, b 21 March 1887, died 29 March 1966 in Cedar Rapids, IA; 3) Roy Overpeck, b. 8 Sept. 1888, died Jan 1948 in Indiana; 4) Minnie, died 18 May7 1887, Grandma (Alice) always said "she ran into a train" at Catlin, IN; 5) Boy, b. 27 Oct 1890, d 11 Nov. 1890, buried in Catlin, Parke Co, IN; and Alice Leas (my grandmother), b. 1892, died 31 Oct 1970, buried Montezuma, Parke Co, IN.
I know Grandma Alice was born in Catlin and it would appear that both Minnie and Boy were, too. Interesting enough, Celia married Roy Barcus and moved to Iowa. I have no idea if she returned to where Isaac was born or not. After Mary died, Isaac married Clara Morton. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions.
P. S. I just realized, I don't know what month and year my own grandmother was born. Better get to looking in my own back yard I guess.
