William H. McClaran was b. abt 1834 in OH, son of James G. McClaran and Mary McDonald. The latest I have located them is in Jackson Twp, Parke County, IN, in the 1870 Census. William and his wife, Mary (last name unknown) are shown with five children; Jane Elizabeth, Samuel M., Mary C., John W., and George Fletcher.

Family members have told me they think Mary McClaran (could be spelled McClaren also) died in the Harmony, IN, area in 1876. I have been unable find a death date or burial location.

Does anyone have anything that will help us in this research?
