I am aware of another Fortner line there in Parke County but the group from Tennessee is not part of my group so far as I know. Our John Fortner and Sarah Mains came to Parke County, IN, from Ross County, OH, area. John was born in New Jersey prior to going to Ohio where he married.

Sorry I can't help you on James Fortner and his group.
