I am new to your list, and am interested in the
common surname of BARNES. My James Barnes and
his brother, Ninevah Barnes came from Warren
County, TN to Pike County, Illinois ca 1829.
The former later moved to Linn County, MO and the
latter to Iowa. So far I lack documentation on
the parents of James and Ninevah. Probably
their father was also a Ninevah who may have lived
in Parke County. All information will be
appreciated. Helen James was married to a
Mary Watkins, and Ninevah to her sister.
