May I suggest you look for death record or obit for Mary Montgomery Daniel.
The 1860 census did not indicate what relationship Mary was to Eli & Mary A.
so she could have been a niece, grandchild or just a child they took in. In
the 1870 census you will see other young children living in their household
too. Interesting the 3 year old was born in Indiana and could be a child of
Mary Montgomery.
