Joel Perkins Gastineau, was born August 4, 1852, in Pulaski County, Ky. He resided there unil about twelve years ago, when he and his family came to Rockville, Ind., and have since lived here.

He joined the Christian Church at age 22 years and died Nov. 4, 1917, at two o'clock a.m., making him 65 years and three months old.

Funeral services were held at the home of Tony Smith, Monday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Elder S. K. Fuson, with interment in Rockville Cemetery.
