I did a quick search on familysearch.org (advanced mode) and came up with: Robert CATLIN - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Marriage: 1736 , Kent, Delaware. No source citation but perhaps familysearch can help you find out who submitted the file.
Good Luck, Lori

Marsha,
I don't have any documentary evidence that shows the birth date or place for
eth Catlin Sr., the father of Robert Catlin of Parke Co., IN. Likewise I
ave not found any documentation that shows the marriage of Robert Catlin,
he presumed father of Seth Sr., and Elizabeth. I would appreciate it if
ou would cite any documentation you know of regarding these events.
An IGI report shows a Robert Catlin married an Elizabeth Byers in 1736 in
ent Co., DE, without a source citation. I have a copy of a document copied
rom the Internet in 2000, which is no longer available on the Internet,
hat shows an Elizabeth ? married first Thomas Anderson about 1720 in Talbot
o., MD ? and second Robert Catlin in 1736 in Kent Co., DE ?, again without
upporting documentation. This last information was attributed to a Jim
nderson.
The reports that I have seen show Seth Sr. as born in 1735, again without
ource citations. This date obviously conflicts with the 1736 marriage date
f Robert and Elizabeth, if Elizabeth was his mother. My notes show that
obert Catlin lived in Somerset County, MD in the household of his presumed
ather William from 1730 until 1734 and then he was listed separately in
735. He is missing from the Somerset tax list in 1736. To me this seems
o leave open the question of where Seth Sr. was born and who his mother
as.
Bob

ob,
Do you have a birthdate/place for Seth Catlin? Possibly born in the 1730's
n the Kent Co, DE area? He, the son of a Robert Catlin and Mrs. Elizabeth
NDERSON (maiden name possibly CLOTHIER?)
