Subject: [INPARKE] HELP ON THE UPCOMING PARKE COUNTY BOOK
Date: Thu, 12 Jul 2007 15:06:33 -0400

As a kind of wrap-up to the mill section of the upcoming Parke book (anyone have a name that would be good -- NOT PARKE COUNTY HISTORY though) I wrote this:
The Mecca Woolen Mill was built by Alexander McCune and Samuel Lowry in 1833. W. N. Batman of Rockville was connected with this place for about 40 years and during most of this time, it was the leading industry for that area. Small mills such as this one eventually were shut down because of fierce competition. This particular one was destroyed in 1914.

NOW MY PROB IS -- HOW was the mEcca mill destroyed -- anyone know?
