The lady at Hilgartner said it takes 15 minutes for someone there to ship it
out, so they have to pay for his time. GET REAL!! They are charging $8.00,
so he makes $32.00 an hour to package stuff? I want his job! I know
things are higher on the East coast, but this is ridiculous! Then she
implied that they were being nice giving us the hardner for free!!

> The "handling" part is what always gets me. Shipping is shipping: in my
wife's business even a small package by UPS is going to be around $5.00 or
more (she finds first class mail cheaper in most cases) but we don't charge
any handling fees. In my mind handling fees are just a way to increase the
cost of the product - in most cases. I might see a handling fee if you're
shipping very fragile items, if, for some reason, you had to use multiple
packages, etc. But S&H on, say, a CD is a laugh. They use a padded envelope
and pop it in the mail. Mastico? Throw it in a box. I might buy it if they
wanted to charge $.50 handling for the cost of the box, but I'll bet it's a
lot more than that.
