Hi List
I put a message on a while ago about the GEST name in
Cannelton.

Thanks to a few people who helped me, one been James Lynch who
gave me great info but just a few things I would like to recheck on.

James you gave me a death date for Paul R GEST as been 6 Aug 1861.
I got the 1860 census in at the LDS the family was spelt GUEST at that time.
I have now found out Paul Gest & his wife were living in Clermont Co OHIO
in 1850 census with 3 children one been Jacob who was 5 mths at the time
of the 1850 census. I didn't know about this boy before so he may of died OHIO
or in Cannelton he isn't on the 1860 census in Cannelton.
They lost a son called William in 1864.

You also said Paul Rust GEST was a doctor & a MASON. Also a Joseph
Gest was a MASON too. I wrote to the Lodge to get his details which were $15 US
dollars but not much details there, they also had Joseph Gest on the same pages.

They have a different death date for him than what you gave me, which was
10 Mach 1861 & buried the 12 march 1861. Would you be able to recheck the
date you gave me PLEASE.
