My Grandfather John Patrick Little was born in Perry County, June 15, 1894,
in Derby in Perry County. He was baptised at St. Augustine Roman Catholic
Church in Leopold. Some time before his marriage in 1917 he moved to
Holland, Pemiscot County, Missouri. Most of his family were in the Derby
area before the Civil War.

I would love to correspond with anyone working on these same families.

Best would be to unravel the relationships between some of the Perry County
Wheatleys. My ancestor is George Wheatley b abt 1798 in Kentucky, died
April 3, 1848 in Perry County. His wife was Mary Ann Jarboe b abt 1804 in
Kentucky, died between 1850 and 1860 presumably in Perry County. Their
daughter Ellen/Elendor Wheatley married George W. Little July 17, 1847 in
Perry County. I have tried to identify George Wheatlely's father for at
least 30 years. Any clue greatly appreciated. A bunch of Wheatleys moved
into Perry County about the same time.
