Stewart Brown, married Matilda Hinton in Fairfield Co, OH on 15 February
1829. Soon after they moved to Rush Co, IN where their first son Samuel
was born. Later the family moved on to Shelby Co, IN, and by 1850 they
were living in Pulaski Co, IN where they remained.

Stewart always listed his birthplace as Pennsylvania and his birthdate
has been given as 02 June 1801. Other sons were named Robert, Thomas,
Salathiel, John, Nathaniel, Richard, Martin, and Harvey; daughters,
Margaret J., Phebe A., Matilda, and Martha.
