I am Stanley Evan Curtis b 1942 @ Plymouth, son of Mildred Virginia (Henning) Curtis b 1920 @ Culver, daughter of Henry Louis August Henning b 1894 @ farm south of North Judson in Wayne Township, Starke County, Indiana- There were several Henry Hennings in those days- This one b 1894 was the gradnson of Henry and Mary Henning both b @ Mecklenburg, Germany- This one b 1894 was the son of father Henry Henning b 1867 @ Rich Grove Twp, Pulaskii County, Indiana and mother Bertha (Dommer) Henning b 1866 @ Germany- Bertha Dommer was the sister of August Dommer- I know something of the story (as related to me by my Grandfather Henning b 1894, d 1982 in nursing home @ Knox buried Culver Masonic Cemetery) as to why August Dommer emigrated from Germany and eventually saw to it that several of his sisters (including my great-grandmother Bertha Dommer Henning) did likewise- I came onto your query because I am seeking more information on my Dommer ancestors- I believe my mother's c!
ousin Ed Lambert (b ~1939) (son of George and Rosie [Henning] Lambert) (who so far as I know still owns and farms the former Gehring Farm just south of North Judson) has a lot of genealogical information on these people- I believe the village near the Dommer Farm in Rich Grove Twp was Denham- My grandfather told me stories about going back and forth there with farming equipment and helping one another back and forth- Would very much like to chat with you-
Did you ever get any fruitful response as to where to find that article?-
