I'm not upset, just decided that everyone who has e-mailed me on the list
and off, that I decided to just stop. It's not worth the headache of doing
it if I'm just going to be in hot water later on. You just happen to be the
last person to e-mail me about it. If I had posted without anyone's comment
then it would of been out of the blue, I think that with seeing what you
wrote will make everyone understand one of the main reasons I'm giving up
this project, because it's not worth getting sued over. I already have the
IRS breathing down my neck. And hubby wanting supper, got to go. Andrea

Gee, I wasn't worked up... I just know that I personally wouldn't want
to take on Ancestry in a legal battle, and I would hate to see any of
our list members get into hot water. It may be perfectly all right.
Perhaps since I work in a University Library, I am more cautious than
many people might be.

Okay, okay I give. I'm stopping. Sorry to get every one worked up.

Hello,

Andrea, I think that I would be a bit cautious about this. See
Ancestry's section called Limited Use License at
http://www.ancestry.com/legal/terms.htm . The part about "significant
portions of any work or database" seems to be relevant to the project
you are undertaking. Don't think that they won't know who is
downloading - large sites keep stats tracking user IP numbers.

Okay every one, I posted on the 4th a web-link for 14 days free of ww1
draft cards. I looked up a few for my hubby that I didn't have yet, and
I want to do some looking for my own lines as well. But I got started
on a project to doing this. I typed in just Randolph County IN for the
search and started copy and pasting away. Well 3 days later and I've
got all of A, B and C done, I am getting ready to do D, and I have part
of J done as well. My concern is that this is going a lot slower than I
had hoped and I am worried that I wont get it all done before the 17th.
So I am needing everyone on the list to take a look and see if they
could do one or two of a letter of the surnames for me to help get this
done. This is a project for everyone's benefit, and to be free to all
in the future. What I would like to do is this, those of you who are
willing to help out, please post to the group what letter or letters you
are willing to do completely. Once they are done, burn them to a CD,
and mail them to me. I will then combine the all onto one or two CDs (I
think it will only be one) and then I will send a complete copy to
everyone who helped, and a copy off to Gina to use as well. So let me
and everyone else know that you are willing to help. What I am doing, is
off of a list of names I click on one and open it up copy the name of
the person then once the image is completely open then I press save to
my computer and then paste the name into the file saver window. I am
putting each group into a file, so that all the A surnames are in one
folder, B in one and so on.

A - Andrea, B - Andrea, C - Andrea, D - Andrea, F - Andrea, G - Andrea,
H - Andrea, I - Andrea, J - Andrea. K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X -
Andrea, Y - Andrea, Z - Andrea.

Any of the letters that are taken will greatly relieve the pressure I
have put upon myself to get this done. Thanks in advance.
