So glad to hear from someone! The information that I need to find out more than anything is regarding Edith's brother, William. Most of the other siblings seem to at least have marriage records. I am trying to confirm if this William is the one I have been searching for. The best clue I have was found in the census records. Elias Griffith is listed in Ripley County, Indiana, where most of his children settled or at least close by. My William is also living in Ripley County. But in the 1860 census my William has moved his family quite a distance to Tipton County, Liberty Township, Indiana. Then I find Elias Newton Griffith, Elias Sr. youngest son and his family living almost next door to my William. I pray that this is a definite connection. If you or anyone else in your family would know if William married, what his wife's name or the names of any of his children were, I think I could be sure. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
