My name is Diana Haslip and I live in Springfield, Greene CO. Missouri. I have Marsh, Robinson, and Johnson family in Delaware, Ripley County, Indiana.
William Marsh born about 1820 - 1823, married Mary Ann Johnson. They were both born in Ohio.
In the 1850 Delaware, Ripley CO. Indiana, Federal Census,
William and Mary are listed just above David Marsh, born about 1798 in Ohio and wife, Margaret born 1788 in North Carolina.
David Marsh was one of the original land purchers in Ripley County, Bk 3, pg. 48, 01 October 1835. Listed also was a George Marsh Bk 3, pg. 55, 25 November 1834. I haven't made a connection with George.
I am trying to connect my Marsh and Johnson families to the Mud Pike Baptist Church in Ripley CO.
Is the Samuel you have listed, Samuel Nelson Marsh?
William Marsh and Mary Ann Johnson were the parents of Joseph B. Marsh born in Delaware, Ripley CO. IN. 4 Dec 1854. He is listed with family in the 10 June 1860 Census in Delaware, Ripley CO. Indiana. They moved to Barnhill, Wayne CO. Illinois, between their last child David born in Indiana 1862 and the John born 1862 in Illinois. They are first listed in a Federal Census in 1870 in Illinois.
