I don't know anything about those particular individuals. I do know,
though, that an atlernate name for Dietz was Ditch. You might have some luck
tracking down an alternate spelling, in case you haven't already tried that.

The Ditches that I'm familiar with came from Montgomery County KY in the
very early 1800s and settled in Ripley County IN.
