Looking for info on Joseph MULL (or MOLL), possible 2nd wife Elizabeth Halterman....possible 1st wife of Josepha ?? with daughter Margaretha b. abt 1848 in Indiana. Family moved to Shawano & Langlade Co, WI by 1878. Margaretha married John KEOUGH/KEHOE May 1878.son of John & Ellen KEHOE Cornwell, Canada.
1880 Langlade Co census has John KEOUGH, Maggie and son John Patrick 1 year old. Maggie was b. IN and both parents b. IN. Believe that the two records are of same people, maybe!
Problem: John Patrick KEOUGH b. May 1879 lists his mother as Elizabeth MULL on his own marriage certificate. Cannot find a trace of a Maggie/Margaret/Margaretha or an Elizabeth MULL/MOLL married to KEOUGH/KEHOE after 1880 census.
She is believed to have died about 1885/1886 and son John Patrick was abandonded by his father (John Sr.) to be raised by an unrelated family. John Sr. was a lumberman in the north woods.
John Patrick's obit says he was preceded by a brother and sister but there are no names and no trace of them either!
MULL, Joseph IN 1850, Rush Co, 97th district, pg.444, IN 1850 Federal census index. Need transcription.
Any leads appreciated...
